Eye Examinations for Children
Comprehensive vision assessment for children involves eye health examination, assessment of clarity of vision, efficiency of visual function and investigation of perception to determine if there is any need for glasses, eye exercises or other treatment or referral. It often requires more than one visit to provide a thorough eye examination for children. Vision examinations are painless and usually a fun experience for the child and informative for parents.
Visual Perceptual Assessment
Developmental delay in Visual Information Processing (Visual Perception) is an issue for some children experiencing learning difficulties. The purpose of a Perceptual Assessment is to assist these children by making practical recommendations to help with their learning. Written reports for families and schools are provided following assessment. Visual Perceptual Assessment takes up to an hour and is scheduled following the first visit after discussion with the family and the school.
